Gas Inspector and Plumber Wanted, Responsibilities for Plumber and Gas Inspector: – You will inspect and report plumbing systems, sprinklers, gas installations; Drain tile and moist-proofing establishment; Hot water heating system and gas installation; Review plan to ensure compliance with applicable codes, acts, sub-rules, rules and standards; Accept or reject the work of applying or improving the inspection or improvement as necessary inspection In addition to this, you will provide technical support for various external and internal contacts and prepare relevant records, reports and correspondence.
Status Overview: – Community Service Department – Inspection Division requires an Assistant Plumber and Gas Inspector.
Gas Inspector and Plumber Wanted
Requirements for Plumber and Gas Inspector: – You will have a passenger plumber – trade qualifying certificate (TQ), gas fitter “B” certification and Class 5 BC driver’s license. The working knowledge of cross-control control is preferred; Applicants should have full knowledge of inspection, regulatory and enforcement work related to plumbing, sprinklers, sewer and gas fittings; B.C. The working knowledge building code, as well as the perfusion standards.
You will have effective communication, writing and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy is essential in the Microsoft Office (Outlook and Word) data entry is preferred for the purpose of using city’s wireless electronic inspection system (titmark). Candidates with experience in inspection and enforcement work, ideally in a municipal setting, are preferred.
Gas Inspector and Plumber Wanted
According to the vehicle policy you will be required to provide your own transportation in exchange for reimbursement, during this time a city pool car is unavailable.
Compensation and benefits pay:
$ 38.02 – $ 44.93 per hour (12% in return for profit) (pay grade 26 – January 2017 rate)
Plumber and Gas Inspector work hours:
On auxiliary / call, between Monday to Friday, between 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
